What music software should I use?Ībout five months ago I also started to learn making speedcore and I'm using LMMS. New to making music, I really admire speedcore artists like Kobaryo and T+pazolite. LMMS has some decent default synths to create retrosounds, both sound effects and music. ![]() I am looking for some basic apps for making old retro sounds. Others in this category are Propellerheads Reason and LMMS (free and open. You can mix fine on them, but they have different workflows and quirks of their own. Professionals who mix for a living generally don't use those. It's a really good free DAWA, but I haven't compared it to the paid ones.Īnd then the others such as such as FL Studio and Ableton Live to me are in a different category, because they were made with music composition (arranging, programing and performing) in mind.
